Whenever I Leave

Today I got mistaken for a twelve year old boy by a cab driver. Really, I can't even begin to understand that.

Neither can I. But people can be very, very weird in their perceptions-- one of my pals can't change her hairstyle without the people she's worked for, for years, mistaking her for someone else. She's got a very distinctive face, too.

C'est la vie!

"Where are you runnin' off to, kid? I know a nice place where pretty little boys like you can make a lot of money!"

Leah, I don't know where that's from but this whole episode is making me reevaluate a few things.

wow, i haven't been here for a long time. i just thought i'd add that once on a high-school trip to mexico my sister discovered, at the end of the week-long trip, that some kid also on the trip had thought she was a boy the whole time. so it's not just you. in both cases my conclusion is that the mistaken person is just exceptionally...well...i can't say it without being mean...dumb.
