failings of a wanna-be style-ista
Let's get down to the brass tacks of my wardrobe initiative; it has pretty much stalled out after the second blog post. And instead of exploring the depths of what I currently own and don't wear, I've ended up wearing basically the same things every week, sometimes twice a week.
But because I'm fundamentally bored with what I wear combined with wanting to explore clothes outside of my rut I end up spending a lot of time online shopping. I never buy anything because the things I'm looking at are expensive and I feel guilty for spending money on clothes. I actually don't give this much thought and this whole post is just so I can say, I'm going thrifting in Chicago tomorrow, but I don't have high hopes. And I'm currently the highest bidder on an ebay auction for some cycling shoes. Gently used!

Good luck on the thrifting expedition!
Thanks. It ended up being a wash. I went to the international museum of surgical sciences instead. I did win the cycling shoes on eBay. That's kind of like thrifting, right?
i'm impressed at your alternative activity, and will welcome any further wardrobe posts. and thanks for giving me a pretext for detouring to the goodwill today (something i was already planning on but can now blame on your inspiration).
