Greetings From the End of the Semester
I presented Savior City to a crowd of faculty and students. I tend to block my presentations from my mind as they happen, but there were a few highlights. One was during the middle of the spectacle when Andrew said, "I...I hate your project." And then, during the question and answer period (a.k.a. the inquisition) afterward when I looked down at my watch and realized that I was done with this project (more or less) and what a great feeling that was.
Of course I still have to write up the whole thing so it can be placed in the library for no one to ever read, but I haven't started thinking about that yet. I ended up passing woodies and writing (according to the professor) a pretty good term paper for my heritage class.
I was also nominated for a departmental award. The only reason for this was that you can't really name a winner without also having a loser; for competition's sake there should be at least two competing. I, however, was the loser. But it's nice that my adviser was the person in charge of making the awards and because of that I still got the award, it was just shredded up in an unmarked envelope.
I've been listening to Philip Glass. I like the repetition.
I found a beater bike at the dorms. I fixed it up and felt really handy.
I'm gaining back the weight I lost during the semester. I lost around ten pounds, it kind of scared me and I'm glad it's coming back with regular sleep and big meals.
Now I'm reading novels and watching movies.
I'm almost done with my MLA but I don't really want to be, it's been fun.
