I share a name with a romance writer, which pleases me far too much. She wrote a book called Wanted Man and I can only hope that when other people Google me they'll have to pause and think about the likelihood of this being the Ellen they know.

When I run into that book at a Goodwill or something I will buy it. Then I'll read it, underline the good parts, add my own suggestions to better the love scenes, and then send it to you.

I was so hoping you would say that, unfortunately it doesn't come out until June 2007. Let the countdown begin!
That's such a strange cover. I'm baffled, really. You can loan me the book after you get it from Wendy, and maybe then it will make more sense.
This is beginning to remind me of the David Sedaris story where he and his sisters find the romance novel and it gets passed around their house until he suspects his mother is hitting on him...of course.
that's the best thing i've heard all day! of course it's only 10 a.m., but still....
by the way, i used to work with sarah bird's (the novelist's) husband, and she apparently used to write romance novels as a day job (under an assumed name). she said in an interview somewhere that they had a list of words they were supposed to use. unfortunately the only one i can remember now is "throbbing". so remember that one for your next novel, ellen hartman.
