The Daily News

I have a trash can heaped full of newspaper strips left over from a project last fall. Today I spent the afternoon sewing these strips together. A seamstress I am not, but I like the imprecision that can go into this kind of sewing. I don't have to worry that the corners aren't lining up, or even if all of the strips are even getting touched by the thread. I don't really know what I'll do with the final product, but I like where it's headed.

1) i love that sewing machine (especially the fact that it's called "touch and sew"). 2) i want to see a picture of the sewed newspaper strips and/or final product.

I'll try to remember to take some "in-process" photos. I was actually going to post images of the first batch of sewed strips, but forgot.

I like the vintage iBook next to the even more vintage sewing machine.

It makes me bitter that your "vintage" iBook lasted a hell of a lot longer than mine, which was newer. Swine computers!
