Great Day (almost all bike related)

1. I got a road wheel set for the Masi; pretty good Shimano hubs and not very good rims, but they're way lighter, and therefore faster, than the cyclocross rims that were on it. I'd guess that with the skinny tires and everything the bike is about five pounds lighter. It's snappy in corners and takes off wonderfully; slowly this is becoming a great bike with a nice balance between lightness and utility.

2. Fixing the click in my rear derailleur by myself (derailleurs are intimidating). Also cleaning the chain and rear cassette.

3. Quick sprints tonight (see above) and cruising at around 17 mph. Admittedly I had minimal braking power on this ride because the road wheels are thinner the brakes needed adjusting and I didn't get around to it. The fronts weren't touching at all and it took the rear ones at least half a block to slow me down.

4. My Swobo jerseys from amazon got here in two days. I think this is my new favorite jersey; I love the arm bands.

5. Took my car in to get fixed and there wasn't anything wrong; I had been smelling oil burning. While there I had the oil changed; Bob said the oil didn't look bad, but the oil change tag said that the last time was in 2007.
